Create page template for custom post type

Hello

OBJECTIVE
Landing page the main blog
2 password protected pages _ one includes only posts of custom post type A and the other only posts of custom post type B. These posts do no appear on the landing page.

PROGRESS
I have installed the Custom Post Type plug in and created a post type called suff_gg
I have tried copying various of the existing Suffusion templates (Page of Posts, for example) to edit, hoping to apply that template to a static page. (I do this by following instructions on various tutorials etc).

But I have failed to achieve the desired result. The closest I have got is copying page of posts and editing the id of the post type, but I wasn't sure what else to edit. I ended up successfully applying the template, and the page shows with no error, but it has not posts on it, which leads me to believe some of the other code, which I don't understand, filters out the posts. How do I create a page template that looks like the rest of the site that enables me to have only posts from a certain post type?

Really, really easy! Wait for a few days and get 4.2.0 when the theme review admins make it live (it is already approved, but it isn't live yet). There is a new template there called "Custom Post Type Archive", which is meant for this specific scenario.
