Suffusion 4.0.7

Postby vholford » 03 May 2012, 07:50

I am having a problem with Main wrapper background.
when I go to the item in the skinning section Main Wrapper then the background setting.
I change the background color setting then choose Save after it appears to have accepted the change it goes back to the default.
The setting actually changes back to the default setting.
Here is the url. http://www.empyreanchallenge.com/boulevardream/
I already changed the back end settings for css has you had another user do for v 3.7.8
This is for version 4.0.7 I am using IE9 if that matters in this case

See screen shots as this issue is very repeatable.

Is this only for the main wrapper background or for other options as well?

The body back ground works.
I notice that the body back ground does not combine the color option with the image option as the Main Wrapper does.
Also the header forground does not over write the header background.
Checking further it appears the several of the brackground settings have this problem.
They also compine the color and image setting in the same setting area.
I found that I can use an image to set the background.

Navigation menu items under skining do not function either.

This isn't something I am able to replicate locally - all the settings save fine. You might be facing some kind of restrictions from your host, that prevents more than a certain number of form fields going through properly.

I checked with my host and they could not find any data base restrictions.
Could this be a file permissions issue or a Directory permissions issue?
Do you have a doc that spells out the file and directry permissions required?
If you do please point me to it.

There is nothing special required. Your regular permissions should work just fine. There isn't any permissions issue at your end because you said that some of the backgrounds are working.

My ISP says there are no restrictions on the number of form foelds. When the form is saved the field just pops back to the default color. None of the form sections that allow an image upload and a color change will allow the color change to go through. Could this be a java problem?

Also are there issues with some versions of PHP?
Has anyone else seen this?

Looks like IE9 is the problem. The dashboard does not have the problem in Fire Fox
