Custom Styles Link Instead of Inline

Postby kandrews » 09 May 2012, 11:45

Hi,

Thank you for this awesome theme!
One question I had was with the custom styles in the custom includes page.
Is there a way to have these added styles inserted into a file and linked?
Basically how the other styles can be set to go into a file.

We heavily manipulate the css and right now all of the styles are displayed "ugly" and kinda hurting our load time.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You can try:
a) use a child theme and insert all definitions from Custom Styles in style.css of child theme.
b) make and upload a new stylesheet wich contain those definitions and then use one of the third additional stylesheets links located below of Custom Styles section.

They most definitely will not affect your load time, because the round trip load of making a server request, then fetching the file and displaying it is more expensive than displaying the styles inline.

In any case, the solutions that Drake provided should work fine.
