Suffusion Version 4.2.3 background repeats

The "Repeat vertically only" and "Repeat horizontally only" don't seem to be working.

I did restore the background as told in the new release news but I've found that these two things don't seem to take.

Custom styles
body background ffffff
an image for the background
body background image tiling: repeat verically only
background image crolling: keep the background fixed
image position: top left

I wanted to mention that it is a multisiteand I use buddypress.

For whatever reason it is not accepting my save, I think is the same reason my sub blog won't update the background color (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11323)

I did clear the site cache.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong. By restoring what I'm doing is going to Skinning > Body Background and selecting save > save body background.

I've got a similar problem too, since the upgrade - any suggestions please. my background is fixed bottom centre and repeat horizontally only. BUT it is simply fixed at the top ....

I have a similar problem since the update.I have read Sayontan explanation (although I have no idea how to restore defaults in Appearance -> Background) and now my background is fixed top instead of bottom with no possibility to have it the way I want it (and the way it is defined in Suffusion Options -> Skinning -> Body Background settings.

SOLVED!

You need to save it in the wordpress > appearance > background to override the settings not the suffusion background settings. (Or maybe both)
This also corrected the background color problem I was having.

I just tested it on a site I hadn't upgraded yet and you don't need to bother with the suffusion part, just save from the wordpress background.

I misunderstood the directions. I suspect others did too.

If you want to set the defaults, go to Appearance -> Background, then click on "Remove Background Image". Once you do that you will see an option to restore the default image (that will replace the "Remove Background Image" feature). Click on that. Once you have done this, you will be able to go into Suffusion Options -> Skinning and set the position of the background. Not very intuitive, but that is more because the native WP feature is limited when compared to Suffusion.
