Ok. You have problems with permission rights on your server. I tried to activate permalinks and wordpress ask me to complete manually the .htaccess file because it cannot be done automatically.

Try the solution from here to ensure that the admin is also the owner of files: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/chan ... dmin-panel.

Also try the solution of "whooami" for here:http://wordpress.org/support/topic/upgrade-to-22-dashboard-not-working?replies=47#post-560112 (anyway you need to copy rewrite rules from wordpres in htaccess, add those lines too).

Yep, I just tried to update your wordpress and I receive the form to enter my ftp credentials. Try first to update wordpress, enter the right credentials, and probably all things will go fine.

For reference.

Because on his site, freshly installed, was just 2 plugins - Akismet and Hello, Dolly - and the backend of WordPress don't works even with just Twenty Eleven or Twenty Ten - OP gave me access on his server.
- I repaired the database - don't work;
- I re-installed the wordpress in a subdirectory with a new database/user on the server - still don't work;
- Finally I supposed that some php restrictions on his server make wordpress to not behave correctly... I had in the past a similar problem on my VPS server, but with the Visual Editor and with selecting colors in Suffusion... So - I tried the same solution. In wp-config.php I added this line:
Code: Select all
define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);

The wordpress revert to it's normal state, all buttons works correctly and also Suffusion "Save" tab in options...

Hi,

I'm sorry but I do have the same error / behavior since the updates are out. But my WP is behaving correctly any other pages work and I'm able to save settings (for example permalinks) etc. pp.
Only Suffusion is having that problem! I also deleted Suffusion and re-installed it but still having the FTP credentials requested when I try to save anything, although the changes seem to get saved...!

I tried to follow the thread and applied and tested any suggested solution even adding
Code: Select all
define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);
but nothing helped!

I can provide a login if needed!?

And here is the debug output that appears after hitting the SAVE BUTTON:

Code: Select all

On your site are others problem than on the site of OP. The solution that I gave works on servers which don't support compressing of WORDPRESS scripts. In this case only as lateral effect is affected the backend of Suffusion, the main problem resides in WordPress itself.

This is not your case. You need to verify:
- if your domains are correctly mapped. I saw that you use WordPress MU Domain Mapping, seems to be a little difficult to follow all steps... and deadly if one step is omitted or wrong...
- disable your plugins and reenable them one by one... At a first sight you seems to have problems with your caching plugin but also with enhanced contact form plugin. (but for caching plugin also the problems can be generated by the domain mapping).
- finally, have you edited files of theme or plugins? Because "header already sent" errors appear when you have spaces or new lines before first <?php tag or after last ?> tag in php files.

Well I have disabled all plugins but the problem still exists.

I'm only having trouble with Suffusion and I don't use it extensively. I don't know when the error was introduced as it is already there for a few releases but I didn't reported it as I was thinking it would be solved with the next release anyway. The error appeared right away after a new version of Suffusion was released and I didn't changed the system at any other point.
I have just a small blog setup with Suffusion as I already switched to another theme for several blogs to get Suffusion replaced due to the error. And I could also change the last blog to another theme but this would not solve the problem!

Yogie

This is not a common problem and so must be something to do with your hosting company or your set-up of Wordpress or your domain as already stated.

Under Back-end -> Site Optimization pick an option that says "ugly source code".

This is not a Suffusion problem - it is a quirk of your setup. Basically your site installation and your web server belong to two different users, causing permission conflicts.
