Styling tile text area

Hi all,

I have category pages set up with tile layouts- these will be the main part of a site im making.

1. Does anyone know if it's possible to make some of the text in the excerpt on the category page (with all the tiles) appear in Bold? I have tried html in the post but it doesnt do anything.

2. Is it possible to display a small html table in the excerpt area of each tile (different detail in each table in each tile of course)?

3.Is it possible to display small images- like review stars ? (maube 10x10 px

4. Is it possible to have the thumbnail image in the tile link to somewhere OTHER than the post itself?

once again, you guys are always a great help, and many thanks for any input.

For 3, you can use a plugin for rating and, in a child theme you can add the stars for excerpts by editing /layouts/layout-tiles.php (if the plugin don't automatically add the stars in excerpts). Or if you need only the images you can insert images in excerpts like above.

For 4... I'm affraid you can't.

Drake thanks so much for coming back.

On the rating plugin, i don't actually wan't votes, I just want to put my own star ratings into the excerpt.

Can you suggest the best way of getting small star images into the manual excerpt?

I said above... by eg. make 3 png's with 1, 2 and 3 stars, then insert one of those in excerpts as simple images in <img> tags corresponding with desired rating for that post...

Hi Drake,

i had a search, and couldn't find out how to reduce the padding on the excerpt tiles on the above category page.

Is it possible to reduce the padding between the edge of the image and the edge of the excerpt tile box?

I tried firebug but cant get it to tell me what part of the page that is.

Also,
1. is it possible to increase the size of the Post title text in the excerpt tile?
2. Is it possible to change the colour of the full story button on the excerpt tile?

As I said often: almost everything is possible in Suffusion. But for me isn't possible even to see about what you talking - you have some plugin for maintenance mode activated.

For images, at Suffusion Options -> Layouts -> Layout: Excerpt / List / Tile / Mosaic / Full -> Tile Layout you can adjust the size of thumbnails for filling all the thumbnail container...

For the rest of questions I need to see your site.
