red "x" where logo should be in header

Postby jen930 » 01 Mar 2010, 08:41

Please help! I've read through your instructions on how to put a logo in the foreground and I'm only able to see a red "x" instead of the logo. For the URL, I have "logo.jpg".
I'm new to all of this, so any help would be much appreciated!

The blog is not published yet, so I can't provide a link. Please let me know if you need any other information.

Thank you!

Simply having logo.jpg is not adequate. You need to put in the full URL, like http://www.my-domain.com/my-folder/logo.jpg

Thank you for your response!

I did as you said, but I still get the "x". This is what I have as the URL now...

http://www.shopthelatest.com/C:\Users\Owner\Downloads/logo.jpg

I know this probably sounds really basic, but I'm not great at all of this!

Again, I really appreciate your help! And I LOVE the theme!

Well, C:\Users\Owner\Downloads/logo.jpg is the location of your file on your own machine - that will not work. You have to upload this file to some place on the internet. One way to do it is to upload it to the media library of your WordPress installation. Once you do so, you will have a URL. You can then use the URL in the header.
