Hi once again,

I love the featured content slider but one thing I noticed was when I had 3 of them, it would go from 1 to 2 and then stop there. If I click the next post button, it'll go to the third one. And even with 2, it would not cycle through. Not sure, but maybe I'm missing a setting (very possible)?

Here is the main page where I have it: http://moviemansguide.com/main

Thanks,
Brian

Not really sure what's going on - I use the featured slider on my test box with 30+ posts and don't run into any problems. Plus the piece of JavaScript I am using is very well known (JQuery Cycle) - I wouldn't expect it to have bugs of this sort. My advice to you would be to try using a featured posts plugin that will help you display this. Maybe there is something about your page that the template doesn't like.

If I might suggest, try removing the second slide from the featured content and see what happens.

It goes from the first post to the second and then sits there. I even removed the excerpt portion of it, still the same.

I know you're probably really busy, but if I set you up with a user account, can you take a look?

Just to note, I have made no changes to the actual coding except in the user set-up via the theme and even then the major change was the header and moving the sidebar from the right to the left.

Well, I decided to delete some of the images, re-upload, check the links, remove the excerpts (I copied them from my main website) and I did get it to go past #2 (I added one more new post, so 4 total) but it stopped at #3. However, since then, it still stops at #2. Grrr.

Hi sayontan - Any chance that JQuery Cycle might have a problem with the server? Some kind of security issue? I don't know anything about it, so wasn't sure.

I will make a new release today / tomorrow. Try upgrading to it to see if it helps.

This looks for me as one of the usual mistakes happening everywhere:

someone counts from 0 to ....
and someother counts from 1 to ...

could this be a hint for the mystery?

No, this one is just weird. The cycling simply stops. It is not even a part of my code that affects it, but I found a minor error, which, though unrelated, might be causing the problem. No harm in trying the fix.
