single.php and quotes

Just been reviewing the code in single.php and I noticed something odd: <div class='post-nav'> <table> <tr> <td class='previous'><?php previous_post_link('%link', '%title') ?></td> <td class='next'><?php next_post_link('%link', '%title') ?></td> </tr> </table> </div> When reviewing the rest of the p...

Re: Child themes

Thanks, that's why I thought. I'll probably go the modified functions method and change the footer call. It'd probably the simplest route to add all the various HTML/CSS code that's to be applied. It's not really my project but I've been left holding the can to implement some crazy ideas which proba...

Re: Child themes

Aye, I've been reading the Codex but to maintain the Suffusion settings would I have to include the hooks that you embed into it from the parent?

Thanks.

Is it as simple as creating a new child directory with an actions file or c...

Re: How to incorporate ads in the sidebar?

If you want something more feature rich then AdRotate is probably one of the better solutions out there. It'll allow you to set limits on display time using date, clicks or views. It's something I'm tinkering with at the moment.

Re: Top 5 Feature Request for Suffusion for WordPress

Point 5 can be done already, just create a static page. However landing pages are a useless exercise on several levels: Another barrier to your users visiting the site. Most people visiting the site won't see it if they are linked from a search engine. It's a dated concept from the days of Flash des...

Re: Disable Main Menus for Templates

Look up Child Themes which is probably the easiest way to do this, and modify the template on a per page basis. This is something I'm experimenting with at the moment along with per post styling.

Re: Modifying Navigation Bar Colors

Use Opera Dragonfly or the Firefox extension Firebug.

First load the page you need to modify.
Choose inspect element by right clicking on it
Then determine what the class/ID is.

Create custom CSS for that.
