Please Help with Website Load/Refresh

Post by Emine » 23 Jan 2015, 13:17

Hi Colins,

Not sure how to really describe my issues, but I'll do the best that I can :) I noticed that when the website loads or I navigate it briefly shows the background behind the post background of the for just a split second, then it loads completely. I do not want that. Why is that happening? When I used other themes, I never saw the background behind the post background it just loaded without notice.

Can we PLEASE, PLEASE fix this? You can see for yourself what I mean at http://casinobonuschips.org

BTW, don't know how you do it, but your response time is fantastic! You have always responded to my inquiries in a very prompt manner. God Bless You! Love, love the theme, its awesome! No problems!

Thank you,
Emine

You have a 'shed load' of errors on that page see http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1 ... ips.org%2F

You have a lot of plugins also loading on your site with lots of JS you need to ensure that you need all of them. There well may be a JS conflict too. (I am no JS expert that is Drake's department so hopefully he will chime in).Try disabling them and see how the performance is then.

You have Google analytics loaded in the head of your page the usual place is the footer, there is a specific Suffusion option for loading GA.

Where have you uploaded the background, in Appearance > Background or in Suffusion Options > Skinning > Background?

As you can see there is a lot to check out and sort out. the first is to correct your errors on the page. As well as the validator use View Source in Firefox and the errors are actually shown in red.

Hi Colins,

Thank you so much for your input. I am very new at this and coding is not my expertise. I've built this website using google and youtube. I do not know what you mean about analytics loaded in the head of my page. I must have input this information somewhere within the theme options area. I will look for it. I do realize that I have a lot of plugins, but since I do not know how to write code, I have to rely on plugins to make my website look professional. I really don't know any other way. A lot of these plugins have have php coding that I have to configure and I'm really afraid of reconfiguring anything that has to do with PHP, because that got me into trouble before when I tried it and it messed my website.

So if you don't mind, please tell me what it is I need to do in order to fix the problems I have on my website. Would you be kind enough to send me detailed instructions that I can follow possibly.

This would be really and truly appreciated by me. Again, thank you for all your help and support.

Emine

Emine

You have a lot wrong with your site and to deal with this on a theme support forum is not really what this is for.

You need to decide what is really essential and cull what isn't. If you don't have the necessary skills then you will need to employ someone. The theme itself is not at fault it is what you have added to it that is causing the problem.
