3.2.0 to 3.2.2 Upgrade Problem

Post by pezastic » 26 Jan 2010, 04:32

I had v3.2.0 working fine. Upon upgrading to v3.2.2 I got an error, though:
Call to undefined function suffusion_before_begin_content() in /home/path-to-my/public_html/wp-content/themes/suffusion/index.php on line 15
Reverting back to v3.2.0, everything worked fine again.

was it an automatic install? Or did you upgrade manually?

I think some files are missing, if an undefined function is noted, it might be that functions.php is not available after upgrading...

I swear I tried auto install and it said completed. However, I just tried it again and got a message that suffusion-featured-posts.php couldn't be installed. So, I tried the manual upgrade, overwriting all the files from the previous version. Everything is working now. Still, I wonder why the auto install didn't work.

It is good that it is working now!
There can be many reasons for problems with auto-Install: bad connections, disturbances in the connections, sometimes the available temp-space on the server is not sufficient enough for extracting etc. etc.

many reasons, I prefer manual installations, because that way you always have a complete ZIP with the actual version on your harddisc as backup

Cheers, Connie
