Ability to "unlink" categories in navigation

Post by chicago_tk » 21 Apr 2010, 12:14

I know that in a previous release you added the ability to "unlink" pages in the navigation bar. Would it be possible to also allow the same function regarding categories? My navigation is based almost entirely on categories and that would be very useful, especially for the ones that also contain sub-categories.

Thanks for all that you do.

I believe I did mention this elsewhere. You can simulate this using pages, by using the "Page Links To" plugin and creating a shadow structure that mirrors your category hierarchy. Then use the "unlink" feature of the pages.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, you did mention this in other posts. I was hoping not to have to recreate the menu structure with pages, but your solution to create a shadow structure may work. I will give that a shot. Thanks again!
