P2 theme integration

Just wanted to pop in and congratulate you on your latest release, Sayontan. You're really getting close to the ultimate multipurpose Wordpress theme. That you are providing it free of charge and continuously improving it with additional functionality is worthy of eternal gratitude.

Now, I come to you with a rather...interesting feature request. Wordpress has a Twitter-alike theme in P2 which would be perfect for bloggers like myself that regularly cover live events, but the problem is I'd like to not hassle with yet another installation of wordpress just for live blogging. Someone has figured out how to integrate http://www.humbug.in/mblog/ P2 into their theme and is using the Page Template and Custom Post Type support.

Is this something that you would consider including in a future release, or would it be too much work with little payoff under the current framework? I'm fine with doing the integration myself, but it would be nice to have it included 'out of the box' as a sort of set and forget type of thing.

what do you mean with
Wordpress has a Twitter-alike theme in P2
?

Do you mean the bloghosting of Wordpress?

Well. you can do a lot with Child templates and custom types in Suffusion as well.

This is the theme I'm talking about: http://p2demo.wordpress.com/
This is the code for integrating it into a theme: http://code.google.com/p/p2-theme-page-template/
The theme is developed by Automattic, but what I'm asking is if the functionality of the theme would be a candidate for integration into a future release of Suffusion instead of having to use it as a child theme.

I had tried this once, but it is very complex. For now I have no plans to do it.
