We've been cleaning up our act SEO-wise and using a number of tools to do it. A big issue was images that didn't have attributes (Alt Tags). So we went through our blog posts and made sure we added info in the Alt Tag space for all the images in our posts. That fixed a big part of the problem, but we were left with an issue we don't know how to address (since we don't mess with the back-end of our Wordpress install or the Suffusion theme - we do everything via the "front end" - using Suffusions myriad options, etc).
The comments on our blog include gravatars. Those gravatars are considered images, and they are missing their attributes. Here is a piece of code verbatim:
As you can see, there is nothing between the quotes after the img alt= and as a result, the website auditing tools see it as poor SEO practice and return errors for all of the gravatars. That means multiple errors per page, depending on the number of individual comments.<img alt='' src='http://1.gravatar.com/avatar/d908f377d4 ... &d=mm&r=pg' srcset='http://1.gravatar.com/avatar/d908f377d4 ... &d=mm&r=pg 2x' class='avatar avatar-48 photo' height='48' width='48' />
There is no practical way to fix all of this manually. So, would it be possible to have Suffusion automatically include as a default (or a selectable option) something like the phrase "Gravatar Image" in between the quotes for all of the img alt tags for the gravatars?
