GDPR and Google Fonts

Post by ChangeAgent » 11 May 2018, 02:14

Hi Folks, needless to say your theme is awesome; loving using the theme.

Background, in a few weeks the new EU GDPR becomes law. There are hot discussions on the web about using Google Fonts and the new privacy directive. As Google Fonts collects a IP addresses if Google Fonts are used and an IP address is personal data (many EU courts confirmed this), we need consent before a page is loaded. This is almost impossible.

Hence my simple question. Does your theme use Google Fonts? If so can one turn this of? Any other solutions?

The theme don't use Google Fonts by default. But they can be used for your design if you want this - there are lists at Suffusion Options which contain Google Fonts for each text element which can be formatted from options.
