Responsive Layout

Post by BrianHayesMusic » 23 Sep 2018, 23:44

Hey guys, long time no talk to! I'm finally getting around to making my site responsive for mobile devices and am having a few problems. I looked through the forums but wasn't able to find anything on my exact issues.

The first problem is that all of my content is getting clipped on the right site and is therefore unreadable. It seems the the font size is a bit large as well; I didn't see any settings for adjusting down the font. And when I hold my IPhone sideways, it seems that the site reverts back the non-responsive version.

I'm using the Safari browser on my IPhone.

Thank you all in advance for any help!

Brian

This is not a bug this is a support request and so I have moved your post.

You have several problems, your header image is not scaling properly on all resolutions but the header background is a fixed size. You video is not resizing on all resolutions.

Ensure that you have all the options properly set and that the page is set to fluid width.

Fix these and then let's see how that is.

Thanks Colin! Sorry I posted in the wrong place. It's been a while.

As long as I've been learning from you guys, I still feel like such a newbee. Where do I find the settings for the options and to set the page to fluid width?

Suffusion Options > Layout Options > then choose the appropriate layout and set to fluid width and then width to 100%

Hey Colin, thank you so much for your guidance on this.

Being the newbie that I am, I try to compensate by being thorough in applying your suggestions, in order to be as respectful of your time as possible.

Since I'm not really sure exactly how my sidebar configurations are set up, I applied the settings you suggested to all of the following:

Suffusion Options > Layouts > Default Sidebar Layout
Suffusion Options > Layouts > 1 Left Sidebar
Suffusion Options > Layouts > 1 Right Sidebar
Suffusion Options > Layouts > 1 Left, 1 Right Sidebar
Suffusion Options > Layouts > 2 Right Sidebars

Suffusion Options > Layouts > 2 Left Sidebars <--This one already had fluid width set and width to 100% for some reason

I'm still winding up with the same results. I also deleted my Cache just in case that was a problem. Am I approaching it correctly, so far?

Any help is very much appreciated!

Also, with the help of you guys, I've applied some custom CSS. Could that be interfering?

Brian

Your custom CSS should not affect this. Have you been through Manuel's blog post and followed all the settings there?

If you still cannot get it sorted PM me an admin login & pw and i will take a look.

Wow, I didn't even see Manuel's response until you drew my attention to it. Thanks, Manuel! Getting on that right now.

Hey Colin,

You had asked me to "PM you an admin login & pw?" Is that to give you access to my settings? I wasn't sure what you meant but I did I try to PM you and got an error message telling me: "This message was flagged as spam and has been denied."
